BTV Pokemon

The Pokémon collection marks the first global venture for the Singapore-based design studio since its inception. Keeping to the brand’s ethos of duality – to create boldly and design simply, the pairing resulted in a collection that combines its utilitarian and colourful aesthetic with the charm of the world of Pokémon.

The collection plays on familiar favourites, featuring a curation of 18 styles with designs that pay homage to six much-loved Pokémon – Charizard, Eevee, Gengar, Jigglypuff, Mew and Pikachu. These Pokémon are featured on a myriad of pieces in various visual aesthetics from large prints to clean outlines and woven labels.

These Pokémon are featured on a myriad of pieces in various visual aesthetics from large prints to clean outlines and woven labels.

The flagship store, the BTV Design Store, will be transformed for the launch of this collection. The focal point of the transformation are air con ducts made of galvanised steel, strategically placed to guide customers around while displaying products from the collection. The space is enlivened by studded rubber flooring, adding a splash of colour and texture set amidst plastic strip curtains displaying an array of Poké Balls, and complemented by posters adapted from the brand's digital campaign.

The design studio applied its distinctive colourblocking style to three XS Dumpling Bags, each one inspired by a different Pokémon. The brown and cream colourway pays homage to Eevee, the blush and teal palette represents Jigglypuff, and the black and yellow combination is inspired by Pikachu. To complete the look, each bag is labelled with the names of each Pokémon woven on the product label, along with its Pokédex number, height and weight.

The collection also features the Micro Dumpling Bag in black, a colour that has been frequently requested since the bag’s debut in 2021, adorned with an iconic and well-loved Pokémon. The bag has been designed with a reflective Pikachu print and a Pokémon label on the front pocket for this special edition.

The full collection features unisex T Shirts, glass cups, caps, camp chairs, skate decks and bags including the Canvas Carryall 01, 03 and the well-loved Dumpling Bags.
